STILL ANOTHER NICE DAY....UPPER 70'S.

MAQUOKETA POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING ARSON AND VANDALISM ISSUES.
COVENTRY CLARK SAID MONDAY MORNING HER FRIENDS VEHICLE HAD THE
INSIDE BURNED OUT WHILE SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY AT 113 1/2 SOUTH
VERMONT STREET.
ALSO, IT WAS REPORTED SOMEONE DUMPED SUGAR IN THE GAS TANK
OF KATY DANIELS VEHICLE THIS WEEKEND WHILE AT 307 CLARK STREET.

BRIGHT SUN CAUSED A MAQUOKETA YOUTH TO HIT A PARKED CAR YESTERDAY MORNING. POLICE CHEIF BRAD KORANDA SAID CASEY NELSON, AGE 17, OF MAQUOKETA WAS DRIVING EAST ON JUDSON AROUND 8 YESTERDAY MORNING.
THE SUN WAS IN HIS EYES AND HE HIT A PARKED CAR OWNED BY KIRK CAES
OF MAQUOKETA. NO INJURIES. $4,000 DAMAGE TO NELSON'S 1997 PONTIAC AND $200 DAMAGE TO CAES'S 1989 FORD.

MATTHEW AND BRIDGET WATTERS OF CORALVILLE ARE PARENTS OF A BOY BORN MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH AT UNIVERSITY OF IOWA HOSPITAL IN IOWA CITY.
MATERNAL GRANDPARENTS ARE JOHN AND DIANE RUFF OF MAQUOKETA AND
PATERNAL GRANDPARENTS ARE BARRY AND KAREN WATTERS OF BALDWIN.'

SHIRLEY HUGHES, AGE 68, OF CUBA CITY, WISCONSIN AND FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA, DIED SUNDAY AT HER HOME. SERVICES WILL BE AT 11 A.M.
FRIDAY AT ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH IN BENTON, WISCONSIN.
FRIENDS MAY CALL THURSDAY AT THE HAUDENSHIELD FUNERAL HOME
IN CUBA CITY. SURVIVORS INCLUDE HER HUSBAND TONY, TWO DAUGHTERS, BOTH OF CALIFORNIA, THREE GRANDCHILDREN, TWO BROTHERS AND THREE SISTERS.
SHE WAS A BEAUTICIAN IN MAQUOKETA AND HER HUSBAND HAD A BODY SHOW
AT THE SOUTH EDGE OF MAQUOKETA.

THE LEAGUE BOWLING SEASON IS UNDERWAY AT TIMBER LANES IN MAQUOKETA.
WE HAVE BOWLING SCORES EVERY MORNING AT 7:35 ON KMAQ-FM.

HAVE TO DO IT BETWEEN 9:30 P.M. AND 1 A.M. THE GAME WILL BE PLAYED IN ARIZONA.
