NO SCHOOL TODAY BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER.
3 INCHES OF SNOW LAST NIGHT AND ANOTHER 3 INCHES TODAY.
IT HAS STOPPED, BUT IS NOW BLOWING WITH NEAR 20 MPH WINDS.
COLD TOMORROW, BUT NO SNOW.
THURSDAY, SUNNY AND HIGH NEAR 20 FOR THE FIRST DAY OF THE KMAQ FARM AND HOME SHOW.

THE MAQUOKETA GIRLS LOST LAST NIGHT TO MT. VERNON, HERE.  CLOSE GAME.
LAST OF THE REGULAR SEASON.     THE GIRLS RECORD, 9 AND 13 AND THEY
PLAY A WEEK FROM TOMORROW, A TOURNAMENT GAME AGAINST DEWITT.

THE ANDREW SCHOOL DISTRICT HAS DECIDED TO GO ONE MORE YEAR WITH A K-12
DISTRICT.   THEN IN AUGUST OF 2011, THEY WILL GO DOWN TO A K-8 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND 9-12 HIGH SCHOOL.    THE HIGH SCHOOL CAN THEN BE  EITHER  BELLEVUE OR  MAQUOKETA.   EACH STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO CHOOSE WHICH DISTRICT FOR HIGH SCHOOL.      DETAILS FOR THIS WHOLE GRADE SHARING
PROPOSAL WILL BE WORKED OUT SOON, AND WILL REQUIRE STATE
APPROVAL.   THIS ALL CAME ABOUT AFTER A MEETING LAST NIGHT IN ANDREW AND AFTER A DISTRICT-WIDE SURVEY WAS TAKEN.

MAQUOKETA WAS GOING TO HAVE AN "IN SERVICE" NO SCHOOL DAY THIS
FRIDAY, BUT THE "IN SERVICE DAY"  WILL BE RE-SCHEDULED LATER AND THERE
NOW WILL BE SCHOOL FRIDAY TO MAKE UP FOR THE NO-SCHOOL TODAY.

HAVE A GOOD TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.  CHECK DAILY THE KMAQ
