I WAS NOT HERE TO SEE IT...
BUT...
MAQUOKETA GOT A LITTLE SNOW SATURDAY.   
COLD WEATHER EXPECTED ALL THIS WEEK.     FIRST 50 DAY AGAIN WILL
BE THIS SUNDAY.
DEAN TILTON TOLD ME LAST NIGHT THAT DOWN IN THE VILLAGES, (FLORIDA) IT WAS
97 YESTERDAY.    HAVE NOT HEARD LATELY FROM SHIRLEY IN ARIZONA OR FROM
JACQUE IN ALASKA.
STILL OVER TWO MONTHS UNTIL WINTER.
BOB AND BEV ENGEL HAVE HAD IT.   THEY'RE  HEADING TO FLORIDA WITH THEIR RV
TOMORROW.

YES....I KNOW WE ARE ALL SORRY ABOUT THE CARDINALS.     EXCUSE ME WHILE
I WIPE ANOTHER TEAR.
BUT...NEVER FORGET, THEY WERE WORLD CHAMPIONS IN 2006.     I WAS AT THE
GAME SATURDAY NIGHT AND WAIVED THE FREE TOWEL THEY GAVE EVERYONE.
BUT, THAT DIDN'T WORK.     TURNED OUT TO BE A CRYING TOWEL.
NEXT YEAR!

HERE, THE OTHER CARDINALS (MAQUOKETA) WON AGAIN, 42 TO 0.    NOW
6 AND 0 AND A HUGE GAME AT MARION COMING THIS FRIDAY NIGHT.  

AND IOWA FANS ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE GAME AT MADISON THIS SATURDAY.    I'LL BE THERE, GUESTS OF DAVE AND MARGE MOORE WHO
NOW LIVE IN MADISON.      SHOULD BE A GREAT GAME.

SORRY FOR IOWA STATE.  THEY HAVE LOST THEIR LAST TWO GAMES BY A TOTAL
OF 6 POINTS.

DEE EBERHART AND OTHERS AROUND HERE ARE WORKING HARD TO GET

THE MAQUOKETA SCHOOL BOARD MEETS AT 6 TONIGHT AT THE DISTRICT OFFICE.
THE WILL DISCUSS 14 EMPLOYEES WHO ARE SEEKING EARLY RETIREMENT.
THEY ARE:     HOLLY PARMER....MARY FLAGEL....EILEEN ROBOVSKY....DAVID KETELSEN.....RICHARD TILL.....CAROLYN MOREHEAD.....RICHARD BATEY....
CHERI TAMPIR....JAMES SCHURBON....GERALD NELSON....CONI WHITE....WILLIAM
MUELLER....BONNIE MACKLIN.....AND MARILYN DEEGAN.
ALSO TONIGHT, THEY WILL DISCUSS THE 10% CUT COMING IN STATE FUNDING,
AMOUNTING TO OVER $700 THOUSAND. 

HEARD AT COFFEE THIS MORNING THAT THE BILLY DEAN COUNTRY SHOW
SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE OHNWARD FINE ARTS CENTER  WAS GOOD AND THAT
ATTENDANCE WAS OK.        ALSO THAT HE MAY COME BACK AGAIN NEXT YEAR
WITH HIS BAND.     THE LONGTIME COUNTRY MUSIC STAR IS MARRIED TO THE
FORMER STEPHANY PAISLEY OF MAQUOKETA-ANDREW AREA.    ADAM BECK
OPENED THE SHOW AND WAS WELL RECEIVED TOO.   HE NOW LIVES IN
DUBUQUE.     PARENTS ARE DENNIS AND MARY OF RURAL MAQUOKETA.

NOTHING NEW ON THE REMOVAL OF THE DOWNTOWN FIRE DEBRIS.
I THOUGHT IT MIGHT HAPPEN BEFORE ELECTION DAY, BUT TIME IS GETTING
SHORT FOR THAT.      THE 2ND ANNIVERSARY IS JANUARY 19, 2010.
