TOURS, WITH FREE REFRESHMENTS, CONTINUED FROM 4 UNTIL 6. A REALLY NICE BUILDING AND MORE ROOM THAN I EXPECTED. A COMMUNITY ROOM THAT IS CALLED THE FAGERLAND ROOM, HONORING JOHN
FAGERLAND WHO PUSHED FOR MAQUOKETA'S OWN COLLEGE BUILDING AND
GAVE $250,000 TO GET THE FUNDRAISING STARTED. THIS NEW BUILDING JUST EAST OF THE HIGH SCHOOL WILL BE A REAL EDUCATION ASSET FOR MAQUOKETA.
MAQUOKETA THIRD WARD COUNCIL MEMBER MARSHA MYERS HAS ANNOUNCED HER INTENTION TO RESIGN. LAST NIGHT, SHE TOLD OTHER COUNCIL MEMBERS THAT
SHE HAD SOLD HER HOME AND WILL BE TRAVELING THE COUNTRY IN A RV.
