THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIR IS STILL UNDERWAY AND HAS BEEN A BIG SUCCESS SO FAR. EACH DAY, ATTENDANCE HAS BEEN OVER 4,000 AND ABOVE LAST YEAR AND AT OR NEAR A RECORD FOR THE DAY. WEATHER HAS BEEN GOOD. LITTLE RAIN IN FORECAST FOR TODAY, BUT SHOULD BE NICE TONIGHT AND VERY NICE TOMORROW FOR THE FINAL DAY. THE STOCK CAR RACES FILLED THE GRANDSTANDS.
THE TRUCK AND TRACTOR PULL LAST NIGHT DID TOO. TONIGHT, A BIG DOUBLE-FEATURE COUNTRY MUSIC SHOW AND THE COMBINE DEMOLITION NIGHT IS TOMORROW NIGHT AT 6. THE BEAR SHOW HAS BEEN POPULAR THREE TIMES
DAILY..EARLY AFTERNOON, MID-AFTERNOON AND LATE AFTERNOON. THEY ARE IN THE PHOTO ABOVE. ALSO IN PHOTO, FAIR MANAGER
LANNY SIMPSON....A BUSY, BUSY PERSON AND A HAPPY ONE ABOUT THE WAY THE FAIR HAS GONE. KMAQ WILL BE BROADCASTING AT THE FAIR UNTIL 8:30 TONIGHT ON KMAQ AM AND FM. YOU CAN LISTEN ON YOUR LAPTOP TOO.

JUST TALK SHOW YESTERDAY HAD LOTS OF CALLS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CUTBACKS COMING FOR THE MAQUOKETA HOSPTIAL. ALMOST ALL UNHAPPY WITH THE CEO AND BOARD DECISION. RUMOR IS ANOTHER CHANGE IS ALSO COMING REGARDING AN OPERATION AT THE HOSPITAL.
