MOSTLY CLOUDY AND COOL TODAY.

AFTER A TWO HOUR DELIBERATION, A JACKSON COUNTY JURY FOUND TERRY
PINAIRE OF MAQUOKETA GUILTY ON THEFT IN THE FIRST DEGREE AND BURGLARY
IN THE THIRD DEGREE CHARGES. THE JURY CAME BACK AFTER THEIR DELIBERATIONS JUST AFTER 1 THIS AFTERNOON. THE TRIAL BEGAN AT NOON YESTERDAY. SENTENCING HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR JULY 31. HE FACES UP TO 15 YEARS IN PRISON. PINAIRE WAS DRESSED IN JAIL ISSUED ORANGE SHORTS, SANDALS AND A WHITE T-SHIRT WORN INSIDE OUT. HE MADE NO COMMENT DURING THE GUILTY ANNOUNCEMENT. HIS ATTORNEY, JOHN KIES, SAID AFTER THAT THEY MOST LIKELY WILL APPEAL THE VERDICT AND MAY REQUEST A NEW TRIAL. PINAIRE WAS FOUND GUILTY OF BREAKING INTO IRENE WYATT'S HOUSE IN EARLY MARCH AND TAKING $21,000 IN CASH AND OTHER ITEMS.
