THE JACKSON COUNTY COURT HOUSE IS LOOKING A LITTLE DIFFERENT.
CLICK-ON PHOTO TO ENLARGE IT AND NOTICE THE BLUE EDGING ALL AROUND THE ROOF LINE, NEVER THERE BEFORE. IT SERVES SOME PURPOSE I GUESS, BUT ALSO
SETS OFF THE BUILDING. IN THE FRONT, THE BIG BLUE PANELS TO MATCH THE EDGING, REPLACED THE OLD ONES WHICH WERE A DIFFERENT COLOR. WHEN THE COURT HOUSE WAS BUILT 50 YEARS AGO, THE ENTIRE FRONT OF ENTRANCE WAS GLASS. TO SAVE ENERGY, THE PANELS REPLACED SOME GLASS WINDOWS. ALSO, A NEW ENTRANCE TO COURT HOUSE WAS BUILT ON THE WEST SIDE AND IT WILL BE
USED TO TAKE PRISONERS FROM THE JAIL ACROSS THE STREET, DIRECTLY INTO THE COURT ROOM. THE WORK BEING DOWN BY DAVE STOCKHAM AND CREW FROM STOCKHAM CONSTRUCTION IN MAQUOKETA.
