THE CARDINAL WRESTLERS TOOK 3RD PLACE IN THE DWIGHT ZIMMERMAN INVITATIONAL
LAST NIGHT AT THE NEW GYM. MONTICELLO TOOK FIRST AND CEDAR RAPIDS JEFFERSON, 2ND
PLACE. DAKOTA SNYDER TOOK FIRST AT 135 POUNDS. RYAN FLAGEL TOOK FIRST AT 152.
THOMAS MAYBERRY TOOK FIRST AT 160.
THE MAQUOKETA FIRE DEPARTMENT IS SELLING THEIR NEW COOKBOOK CALLED "125 YEARS OF FLAMIN' GOOD COOKIN'"
WIVES NANCY MUHLHAUSEN AND LINDA GONNER WERE CO-CHAIRMEN OF THE COOKBOOK PROJECT.
THE BOOKS ARE $15 EACH...HARD COVER WITH A RING BINDER. OTHERS CAN BE ADDED LATER. THE BOOK IS DIVIDED INTO SECTIONS WHICH INCLUDE APPETIZERS AND BEVERAGES...SOUPS AND SALADS...VEGETABLES AND SIDE DISHERS...MAIN DISHES...BREADS AND ROLLS...DESSERTS...COOKIES AND CANDY, PLUS MISCELLANEOUS TIPS. ALSO A SECTION FOR CAMPFIRE COOKING AND RECIPES FOR A CROWD. THE BOOK INCLUDES A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT AS WELL AS A ROSTER AND PHOTO OF THE FIREFIGHTERS.
