COLD AND WINDY YESTERDAY.....COLD TODAY AGAIN...BUT NICER WEATHER COMING
LATER IN THE WEEK.

MAQUOKETA LOST FRIDAY NIGHT....THE FOOTBALL SEASON IS OVER FOR THE
CARDINALS. THE VOLLEYBALL TEAM HAS TOURNAMENT PLAY TONIGHT.
DEWITT, PRESTON AND NORTHEAST(GOOSE LAKE) ARE IN THE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT. DEWITT (9 AND 0) PLAYS NEW HAMPTON (6 AND 3) AND WE WILL BROADCAST THEIR GAME AT 7 WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

INVESTIGATORS ARE AWAITING THE RESULTS OF AN AUTOPSY PERFORMED ON A WOMAN WHO WAS FOUND DEAD FRIDAY NIGHT IN A PRIVATELY-OWNED CABIN NEAR ROCK CREEK PARK NEAR CAMANCHE. THERE IS SPECULATION SHE COULD BE THE WOMAN MISSING FROM THE SABULA AREA. POSSIBLE FOUL PLAY.

THE SPECIAL MAQUOKETA CITY COUNCIL MEETING TO TRY AGAIN TO APPOINT A FIRST WARD COUNCIL MEMBER THAT WAS SCHEDULED FOR TODAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED. LOOKS LIKE THE COUNCIL WILL LET THE ISSUE GO TO A SPECIAL ELECTION.
