A NICE SUMMER DAY IN MAQUOKETA... HOT AND HUMID...IN THE 80'S. THE KIND
OF WEATHER WE EXPECT WHEN IT IS COUNTY FAIR TIME.

AT THE JACKSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING YESTERDAY,
THE SUPERVISORS SAID THAT NEXT WEEK THEY PLAN TO NAME A NEW OFFICE MANAGER FOR THE JACKSON COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT.
ARE PEOPLE LOOKING FOR A BETTER JOB IN MAQUOKETA? I'D SAY SO.
THERE WERE 56 APPLICANTS FOR THE JOB.

FIVE COMMUNITIES IN JACKSON COUNTY MET WITH REPRESENTATIVES FROM FEMA THIS WEEK TO TALK ABOUT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE JUNE FLOODS.
LYNN MEDINGER, JACKSON COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR
SAID JACKSON COUNTY QUALIFIES FOR PUBLIC ASSISTANCE, BUT NO INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE FROM FLOODING. ANY QUESTIONS, CALL 563-542-3911.

SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL WILL BE HELD AT 5:15 THIS AFTERNOON.
I'LL GIVE YOU A REPORT ON IT TOMORROW.

AT THE STATE SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT, YESTERDAY, ANDREW LOST 1 TO 0
IN THE LAST INNING. THIS MORNING, THEY LOST 3 TO 1 AND AT 10 TOMORROW MORNING, THEY WILL PLAY THEIR FINAL GAME, GOOD FOR 7TH OR 8TH PLACE IN THE TOURNAMENT.

LOOKING FORWARD TO A 90-DEGREE DAY TOMORROW.

WILL HAVE BUSY DAY TOMORROW, SO NOT SURE I'LL HAVE A REPORT.
SAME FOR FRIDAY.

CHECK THE PHOTO BELOW THAT I TOOK THIS AFTERNOON AT THE OLD OUTDOOR POOL. THIS VERY WELL COULD BE THE LAST YEAR FOR IT.
