THREE INCHES OF SNOW YESTERDAY.
COLD TODAY.
COLD WEEKEND COMING UP. 12 BELOW TOMORROW NIGHT.
NO RELIEF IN SITE.

NO ONE WAS INJURED IN A TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT AROUND 4 YESTERDAY AFTERNOON A HALF MILE WEST OF MAQUOKETA. DRIVERS WERE LYNN TONDERUM, 53, OF MAQUOKETA AND ROBERT ROE, 46, OF ELWOOD. ICE CONDITIONS.

FRANCIS TRUE, 89, OF MAQUOKETA, DIED THIS MORNING. ARRANGEMENTS PENDING AT CARSON'S.

THE "UP WITH PEOPLE" GROUP WILL BE IN MAQUOKETA FROM VALENTINES DAY
UNTIL FEBRUARY 18TH. THEY WILL PERFORM SUNDAY AFTERNOON, FEBRUARY 17TH, AT 3 P.M., AT THE OHNWARD FINE ARTS CENTER.

THE MAQUOKETA WRESTLERS HAD AN EASY DUAL MEET VICTORY HERE LAST NIGHT, DEFEATING DAVENPORT WEST.

THE BASKETBALL GAMES AT THE MCHS GYM TONIGHT AGAINST VINTON HAVE BEEN POSTPONED. BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER, VINTON SHELLSBURG DID NOT WANT TO MAKE THE LONG TRIP TO MAQUOKETA.
