4/10THS OF AN INCH OF RAIN YESTERDAY. SUNSHINE THIS MORNING AND CLOUDY AND COLD THIS AFTERNOON. SNOW IN FORECAST TOMORROW AND TOMORROW NIGHT, WITH 2 TO 4 INCHES OF NEW SNOW POSSIBLE BY FRIDAY MORNING.
THE WEEKEND SHOULD BE PRETTY DESCENT WITH NO PRECIPITATION.

THE MAQUOKETA BOYS BEAT WESTERN DUBUQUE BY 2 POINTS LAST NIGHT, HERE IN TOWN. THE GIRLS LOST TO WESTERN DUBUQUE AT THEIR GYM.

THE PARKING LOT AT THE JACKSON COUNTY SENIOR CENTER ON EAST QUARRY STREET IN MAQUOKETA WILL BE PAVED THIS YEAR. IT HAS BEEN GRAVEL ALL THESE YEARS. FUNDING IS NEARLY SET AND THE COUNTY SUPERVISORS TODAY ASKED THAT THE PROJECT BE PUT OUT FOR BIDS.

THE DATE HAS BEEN SET FOR THE ANNUAL "MEN WHO COOK" EVENT AT THE FAIRGROUNDS IN MAQUOKETA. IT WILL BE ON SUNDAY, FEB 17TH AND SPONSORED AGAIN BY THE MAQUOKETA ROTARY CLUB, THE MAQUOKETA OPTIMIST CLUB, THE DELMAR LIONS CLUB AND JOINING IN AS A SPONSOR THISYEAR, THE MAQUOKETA KIWANIS CLUB. THE FOOD WILL BE SERVED FROM 5 U NTIL 7 P.M. TICKETS ARE $12 FOR THE ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT EVENT AND ARE ON SALE BY THE MEMBERS OF THE FOUR CLUBS. MAQUOKETA ROTARIAN NANCY MOORE IS AGAIN
SERVING AS GENERAL CHAIRMAN OF THE 3RD ANNUAL EVENT.
MARK THE DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR.
