BELOW, A PHOTO I TOOK THIS (SUNDAY) MORNING ABOUT 5 MILES SOUTH OF MAQUOKETA ON OLD HIGHWAY 61. IOWA IS HAVING A RECORD CROP OF CORN AND SOMETIMES AFTER IT IS PICKED, IT HAS TO BE TAKEN TO A TEMPORARY PLACE

UNTIL PERMANENT STORAGE CAN BE FOUND OR BARGE SHIPMENT IS AVAILABLE. THIS LARGE PILE OF IOWA GOLD

IS ONE OF THE LARGEST AROUND, WITH OVER A HALF-MILLION BUSHELS OF CORN IN THE PILE. AT SOMEWHERE AROUND $3.00 A BUSHEL....IT IS A RICH SIGHT TO SEE. FALL LEAVES ARE PRETTY, BUT CORN IS PRETTY TOO.

REMEMBER...CLICK-ON THE PICTURE TO MAKE IT BIGGER.

NICE DAY TODAY...WE ARE IN THE LOW 60'S.
