ANOTHER NICE DAY. BUT, WEEKEND NOT LOOKING SO GOOD.

THE STATE WRESTLING TOURNAMENT CONTINUES TOMORROW (FRIDAY)
IN DES MOINES. KMAQ, WITH DR. PAUL KOOB AT THE MIKE, STARTED OFF COVERING 10 WRESTLERS FROM MAQUOKETA AND DEWITT. FOUR ARE STILL ALIVE IN THE TOURNAMENT. FOR MAQUOKETA, BILLY KIRK AND MARCUS BREEDEN, STILL HAVE A CHANCE FOR 3RD PLACE IN THE STATE.
FOR DEWITT CENTRAL, DANIEL CLARK STILL HAS A CHANCE FOR 3RD AND DEREK BLOCK HAS WON EVERY MATCH OUT THERE SO FAR AND HAS A CHANCE TO BE A 1ST PLACE CHAMPION.

A FLORIDA MAN, AGE 40, TESTED 4 TIMES THE LEGAL LIMIT FOR ALCOHOL AFTER HE WAS INVOLVED IN A ONE-CAR ACCIDENT WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.
HE TESTED .341 AND THE LEGAL LIMIT IS .08. .341 IS REALLY HIGH.
THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED THREE MILES SOUTH OF MAQUOKETA YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. HE WAS NOT INJURED, AND HIS CAR, A 2007 PONTIAC RECEIVED ABOUT $1,800 WORTH OF DAMAGE AND AND HE IS IN JAIL ON CASH BOND OF $9,750.

I MENTIONED THE OTHER DAY THAT THE NEW ASSISTANT JACKSON COUNTY ATTORNEY IS A WOMAN. CORRECTION. THE NEW ASSISTANT TO COUNTY ATTORNEY PHIL TABOR IS A MAN.

HEATHER BENHART AND DOUG SAID OF MAQUOKETA ARE PARNETS OF A BOY, BORN SUNDAY AT THE LOCAL HOSPITAL. GRANDPARENTS ARE LARRY AND CINDY BENHART OF MAQUOKETA AND PATERNAL GRANDMOHER IS DONNA SAID OF MAQUOKETA.

SUSIE AND RYAN GERISCHER OF MAQUOKETA ARE PRENTS OF A BOY BORN TUESDAY AT THE LOCAL HOSPITAL. GRANDPARENTS ARE JERRY AND COLLEEN DOTTERWIECH OF OTTER CREEK, JUST NORTH OF MAQUOKETA AND PATERNAL GRANDPARENTS ARE BILL AND LILNDA GERISCHER OF MAQUOKETA.
