RAIN YESTERDAY.
RAIN THIS MORNING.
RAIN IN FORECAST FOR TONIGHT...THEN PRETTY GOOD FORECAST FOR THE REST OF THE WEEKEND.

THE JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVIORS HAVE ASKED CLETUS GERARDY OF MAQUOKETA TO COME UP WITH A SCULPTURE DESIGN FOR THE FRONT OF THE COURTHOUSE IN
MAQUOKETA. NEW TREES HAVE BEEN PLANTED AROUND THE COURTHOUSE AND RED WOOD CHIPS WILL NOW BE ADDED AROUND THOSE.

GOV. TOM VILSACK WILL VISIT MAQUOKETA AT THE END OF THE MONTH.
HE ANNUALLY DOES A WALK ACROSS IOWA AND WILL BE WALKING FROM BALDWIN TO MAQUOKETA ON THE 31ST AND THEN TO THE HURSTVILLE INTERPRETIVE
CENTER WHERE HE WILL PLANT A TREE.

ALVIN PETERSEN, AGE 88 OF MAQUOKETA DIED YESTERDAY MORNING.
AND ELINOR BAYLES, AGE 90 (JUST TURNED 90 YESTERDAY) OF MAQUOKETA DIED THIS MORNING AT THE MAQUOKETA CARE CENTER.
