MAQUOKETA BOYS HOST WESTERN DUBUQUE TONIGHT AND THE MAQUOKETA GIRLS ARE AT EPWORTH.

JC ENGEL, FROM MAQUOKETA, REPUBLICAN JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVISOR FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS, HAS DECIDED TO NOT SEEK RE-ELECTION THIS NOVEMBER. JACK WILLEY, OF MAQUOKETA, ALSO A REPUBLICAN, HAS ANNOUNED HE WILL SEEK RE-ELECTION. THE POSITIONS OF COUNTY ATTORNEY AND TREASURER ARE ALSO UP FOR VOTE THIS YEAR. THE PRIMARY IS IN JUNE.

DON AND BETTY (O'MEARA) HENNINGSEN OF MAQUOKETA WILL CELEBRATE THEIR 60TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY THIS FRIDAY, JANUARY 20TH. THEY ARE ENJOYING THE WINTER IN THEIR CONDO AT 370 HORIZONS EAST #209, BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA 33435. IN HONOR OF THE OCCASION OF THEIR 60TH, THEY WILL CELEBRATE WITH THEIR FAMILY AND GO ON A CARIBBEAN CRUISE. THEY WERE MARRIED AT ST. JOE'S CATHOLIC CHURCH IN DEWITT ON JANUARY 20TH, 1946. THEY ARE THE PARENTS OF 2 DAUGHTERS, NANCEE (PAUL) PETERMAN AND SUSAN
(CHARLES) BONNER...ALSO 4 GRANDCHILDREN AND 6 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. BEFORE RETIREMENT, DON WAS A LOAN OFFICER FOR A LOCAL BANK. HE CURRENTLY SERVES WITH ME ON THE PEARSON MEMORIAL CENTER BOARD. HAVE A GREAT DAY FRIDAY DON AND BETTY.
