SUNNY AND 67 FOR A HIGH TODAY. BEAUTIFUL.
YESTERDAY, ALMOST AS NICE FOR EASTER SUNDAY.

SEVERAL ACCIDENTS OVER THE WEEKEND, BUT NONE INVOLVING
MAQUOKETA RESIDENTS.

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING TONIGHT.

THE BUILDING WHERE "TERM CITY" RENTALS WAS LOCATED BEFORE MOVING EARLIER THIS YEAR TO BIGGER LOCATION ON EAST PLATT STREET, HAS BEEN SOLD TO THE OWNERS OF THE "GREAT WALL" CHINESE RESTAURANT RIGHT NEXT DOOR. THEY MAY EXPAND THE RESTAURANT, BUT NO PLANS FOR NOW. THE BUILDING WAS OWNED BY BOB STOCKHAM.

GERTRUDE "TRUDY" BLAKE, AGE 88, OF INVERNESS, FLORIDA, AND FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA, DIED MARCH 19TH AT A NURSING CENTER IN INVERNESS. A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE AT A DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED HERE IN MAQUOKETA AT CARSON AND SON FUNERAL
HOME. BURIAL WILL BE IN M OUNT HOPE CEMETERY. SHE WAS A HOMEMAKER AND AT ONE TIME BELONGED TO THE ORDER OF EASTERN STAR IN MAQUOKETA. SURVIVED BY A SON, DONN OF INVERNESS, 5 GRANDCHILDREN AND 6 GREAT.

JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVISOR JACK WILLEY (AND MARILYN OF COURSE) IS THE GRANDPARENT OF TWIN GIRLS, BORN GOOD FRIDAY TO MATTHEW AND KEESHA WILLEY FRAHM OF DAVENPORT. EACH GIRL WAS 18 1/2 INCH LONG AND EACH WEIGHED OVER 6 POUNDS. GREAT MATERNAL GRANDMOTHERS ARE FRANCIS WILLEY OF MAQUOKETA AND ETHEL HESS OF FARLEY.

THE IOWA HAWKEYE WOMEN ARE IN WNIT FINAL FOUR TONIGHT. ROOT FOR THEM. WE WILL HAVE THE GAME ON KMAQ-FM.
