ITS A CLOUDY, WINDY SATURDAY.

THE MAQUOKETA GIRLS BEAT MARION LAST NIGHT, 49 TO 25.

HERE IN TOWN, THE MAQUOKETA BOYS LOST TO MARION, 61 TO 50.

A MAQUOKETA MAN WAS KILLED IN A ONE-CAR ACCIDENT AROUND 10 LAST NIGHT ON THE HURSTVILLE ROAD JUST NORTH OF MAQUOKETA. HE SWERVED TO AVOID TWO DEER OVER-BRAKED
AND ROLLED HIS CAR. HE HAD TO BE EXTRICATED BY MECHANICAL MEANS FROM THE VEHICLE, AND WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE. HE IS ROBERT "KELLY" TACKETT, JR. AGE 27, OF MAQUOKETA.
HE HAD 3 PASSENGERS. TWO WERE TREATED AND RELEASED AT THE HOSPITAL AND THE OTHER REFUSED TREATMENT. THE OTHER THREE IN THE CRASH WERE: CHARLA WAITE, 22....RACHEL WAGNER, 21 AND MICHAEL SUMMERS, 27.
