CLOUDY TODAY....HIGH IN THE 50'S. ONE AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN MEASURED YESTERDAY IN MAQUOKETA. IT RAINED EVERY MINUTE OF MY 5 HOUR CAR RIDE TO ST. LOUIS AND THEN JUST BEFORE THE GAME STARTED, THE RAIN STOPPED.
LOUSY GAME OF COURSE. POOR PLAY BY THE CARDINALS, BUT, BOSTON IS GOOD.
ON WAY HOME, MY CAR BROKE DOWN. IT IS STILL IN SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS.
NO SLEEP LAST NIGHT AND I CAN TELL IT HERE AT WORK TODAY.

DID I MENTION ON MY LAST REPORT THAT DR. PAUL BROWN IS THE CITIZEN OF THE WEEK? HE IS!

JOYCE REISDORPH, 76, DIED YESTERDAY MORNING AT CRESTRIDGE NURSING HOME. SHE WORKED AT SEVERAL BUSINESS PLACES OVER THE YEARS AND FOR SUNSHINE SCHOOL FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS. SHE IS SURVIVED BY 8 CHILDREN....
CAROLIN IN ELDRIDGE...MARILYN IN CHARLOTTE, N.C....TOM IN GRAND ISLAND...
SUSAN IN DAVENPORT....DIANE IN DAVENPORT....CHRIS HOLTHAUS IN MAQUOKETA....JIM IN KANSAS CITY....AND ROBIN NIMS IN MAQUOKETA....21 GRANDCHILDREN AND 20 GREAT....AND TWO SISTERS, INCLUDING MAXINE HEINRICH OF MAQUOKETA.

BEN HULSEN, 76, OF EAST MOLINE AND FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA, DIED MONDAY AT HOSPITAL IN SILVIS. HE HAD BEEN A PARTNER AT THE FORMER JOHN WAGNER FORD IN MAQUOKETA. THEN SOLD LIGHT BULBS IN THE QUAD CITY AREA AFTER MOVING FROM MAQUOKETA. SURVIVED BY WIFE SHIRLEY, SON CURTIS IN ELDRIDGE AND 3 GRANDCHILDREN AND 1 SISTER. CURT IS MARRIED TO COOKIE KUMPF, FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA.
