DISTRICT COURT NEWS: MATTHEW YAROLEM, 22, OF MAQUOKETA, RECEIVED A DEFERRED JUDGEMENT ON CHARGES OF CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON. MAQUOKETA POLICE SAY HE HAD A 40 CALIBER AUTOMATIC HANDGUN IN THE FRONT WAISTBAND OF HIS PANTS ON MARCH 20TH ON EAST PLATT STREET.
NICHOLAS ZISMER, AGE 22, OF MAQUOKETA, WAS SENTENCED TO 30-DAYS IN JAIL, 28 SUSPENDED, ON CHARGES OF OWI.
AND ROGER BUNYON, 31, OF MAQUOKETA, WAS FINED $1,000 ON CHARGES OF DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED.
SURVICES ARE PENDING FOR GERTRUDE WIERSMA, 81, OF MAQUOKETA, WHO DIED YESTERDAY AT THE MILL VALLEY CARE CENTER IN BELLEVUE.
