IN DISTRICT COURT, CHARLES BAGUSS, AGE 62, OF MAQUOKETA, WAS SENTENCED TO 30 DAYS IN JAIL, 28 SUSPENDED, ON CHARGES OF OWI. HE WAS ALSO ORDERED TO PAY A $1,000 FIND AND COMPLETE A DRINKING DRIVERS COURSE AND UNDERGO SUBSTANCE ABUSE EVALUATION. HE WAS ARRESTED BACK ON JANUARY 15TH.
JESSICA MANG, AGE 22, OF MAQUOKETA WAS SENTENCED IN DISTRICT OUR TO 90 DAYS IN JAIL, 60 SUSPENDED, ON CHARGES OF DRIVING WHILE BARRED. THE JUDGE FINED HER $500.
CONNIE SUE DAVIS KUBICEK, AGE 53, OF CEDAR RAPIDS AND FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA, DIED SUDDENLY THURSDAY MORNING AT UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS IN IOWA CITY. SHE WAS A PROFESSIONAL CHEF AND OWNED HER OWN CATERING BUSINESS. SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND, JOHN, HER PARENTS, DON AND THELMA DAVIS, SR. OF MAQUOKETA, TWO SISTERS, INCLUDING NANCY MOORE OF MAQUOKETA, AND THREE BROTHERS, INCLUDING DAVID DAVIS OF TORONTO.
