4 SMALLER BULBS BETWEEN THE BASE AND THE TOP.    A TOWER CREW
HAS TO DO THIS EVERY FEW YEARS.    THE TWO TRANSMITTERS OUT THERE AND THE TOWER LIGHTS  MAKE FOR A MONTHLY BILL AROUND $1,000.
THE STUDIO BUILDING DOWNTOWN IS ABOUT HALF THAT, EXCEPT FOR THE
HOT AIR-CONDITIONING MONTHS.

TWO VEHICLES WERE STOLEN FROM MAQUOKETA EARLY TODAY AND FOUND IN CLINTON COUNTY.   AROUND 5:30 THIS MORNING, CRAIG MARKLE OF MAQUOKETA REPORTED HIS UNLOCKED VEHICLE WITH THE KEYS
INSIDE WAS TAKEN OVERNIGHT AND WAS FOUND IN CLINTON COUNTY.
IT WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT THERE.    ANOTHER VEHICLE OWNED BY
MAKE TRENKAMP WAS TAKEN FROM EHLERS LAINE BEHIND CLOVER RIDGE
PLACE.     CLINTON COUNTY SHERIFF DEPUTY STEVE CONDIFF SAID SETH SIMONIN OF MAQUOKETA WAS FOUND IN THE MARKLE VEHICLE.    HE HAS
BEEN CHARGED WITH OPERATING A VEHICLE WITHOUT OWNER'S CONSENT.
LAW INFORCEMENT IS WORKING ON ARRESTING  ANOTHER PERSON THAT TOOK THE TRENKAMP VEHICLE, WHICH WAS ALSO PARTFOF THE ACCIDENT.
TRENKAMP'S VEHICLE WAS FOUND IN A DITCH.

THE JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVISORS MET THIS MORNING IN THEIR REGULAR MEETING PLACE EVEN THOUGH THE CARPET HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED FOLLOWING THE SHOOTING LAST TUESDAY.    THE ENTIRE ROOM WILL BE RE-CARPETED.    THE SHATTERED GLASS DOOR HAS BEEN REPAIRED.
SUPERVISOR CHAIRMAN JACK WILLEY READ A STATEMENT PRAISING
THOSE AT THE COURTHOUSE LAST  WEEK FOR THEIR ACTIONS AFTER THE SHOOTING.    HE BECAME EMOTIONAL AS HE MENTIONED THE CALLS AND LETTERS FORM RESIDENTS AND SAID THE SUPERVISORS WILL CONTINUE TO WORK IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE COUNTY.    THE OTHER TWO SUPERVISORS SAID THEY AGREED WITH WILLEY'S COMMENTS.
THERE WERE 3 STUDENTS AT THE MEETING TODAY.    SHERIFF RUSS KETTMANN WAS PRESENT FOR THE ENTIRE MEETING.

THE LOCAL WALK TO END ALZHEIMERS HELD IN MAQUOKETA WAS A  HUGE
SUCCESS ACCORDING TO COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON  KERRY SHEETS.
THE WALK NETTED $13,200.   THERE WERE 18 TEAMS, PLUS INDIVIDUALS AND OVER 200 WALKERS TOOK PART.

DAVENPORT WEST HIGH SCHOOL HAS A PUBLICATION CALLED "BEAK 'n'
EYE"  AND IT WAS AN INSERT IN TODAY'S QUAD CITY TIMES.    ON THE
COVER, MY 61 DRIVE-IN THEATRE SCREEN SOUTH OF MAQUOKETA.
THE DRIVE-IN HAS GOTTEN LOTS AND LOTS OF FREE PUBLICITY OVER THE
