SOME MAQUOKETA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS HAD FUN LAST NIGHT OUTSIDE THE CHURCH, BUILDING A 25-FOOT LONG BANANA SPLIT. AND HERE IT IS! ANYONE IN THE COMMUNITY WAS INVITED TO BRING A SPOON AND HELP DEVOUR IT. LOOKS LIKE THERE WERE QUITE A FEW WITH SPOONS. GOOD THING IT WAS A 50- PLUS DEGREE NIGHT......80-PLUS DEGREE WEATHER WE RECENTLY HAD WOULD HAVE TURNED THE SPIT INTO A MALT QUICKLY.
