WE HAD NICE WEATHER OVER THE WEEKEND.
RAIN WAS FORCAST FOR LAST NIGHT AND TODAY....NOTHING YET.
IT WAS COOL AND MOSTLY CLOUDY TODAY, WITH A HIGH OF 68.
TONIGHT...RAIN AND COLD WITH A LOW OF 39.
TOMORROW, SUNNY AND 62 AND TOMORROW NIGHT, DOWN TO 34.

WE WILL HAVE TWO LOCAL CONTESTED RACES IN THE NOVEMBER
GENERAL ELECTION.
INCUMBENT REPUBLICAN BRIAN MOORE FACES CHALLENGER DEMOCRAT
TOM SCHUELLER FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE.    SCHUELLER OF
MAQUOKETA WAS STATE REPRESENTATIVE AND TWO YEARS AGO, LOST
TO MOORE OF RURAL ZWINGLE.
AND...JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVISOR LARRY KOOS, DEMOCRAT,
WILL BE CHALLENGED ONCE AGAIN BY REPUBLICAN DAVID KENDELL.

ON THE POLICE BLOTTER:
BOWMAN OIL ON SOUTH MAIN REPORTED THIS MORNING THAT SOMEONE
PRIED OPEN THE BACK DOOR AND AN UNDETERMINED AMOUNT OF CASH
WAS TAKEN.
THE CITY LIMITS RESTAURAND REPORTED THIS MORNING THAT SOMEONE
PAINTED GRAFFITTI ON THEIR BUILDING OVER NIGHT.

CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT AT 7.

RED HENTON WAS ON TV THIS AFTERNOON WITH FRAN RILEY ON
CHANNEL 6 AND DID A GOOD JOB.

THE EAGLES MUSIC  SHOW SATURDAY NIGHT AT OHNWARD FINE ARTS CENTER WAS WELL-ATTENDED AND A VERY GOOD SHOW.    DONE BY
