TWO INCHES OF SNOW YESTERDAY AFTER AN INCH OF RAIN. SUNNY AND COLD
TODAY. COLD WEEK AHEAD, WITH OCCASSIONAL SNOW.

TOURNAMENT BASKETBALL TONIGHT ON KMAQ-FM....MAQUOKETA BOYS AT DEWITT FOR 7 P.M. GAME. SHOULD BE A GOOD ONE.

DR. MELVIN AND MARILYN BERNARD OF MAQUOKETA WILL CELEBRATE THEIR
60TH THIS WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 20TH. MELVIN IS A RETIRED OPTOMETRIST.
THEY HAVE TWO CHILDREN, DONNA IN DUBUQUE AND DR. GARY IN GALENA...AND FOUR GRANDCHILDREN. I SEE HIM EVERY WEDNESDAY AT ROTARY.

AT 3 P.M.....THE WORLD FAMOUS "UP WITH PEOPLE", BRINGING THE WORLD TOGETHER FOR OVER 4 DECADES. GREAT SHOW!! DESPITE BAD WEATHER,
THE AUDITORIUM WAS HALF-FULL AND THE YOUNG PEOPLE GOT A STANDING OVATION FOR THEIR HIGH ENERGY, COLORFUL CONCERT. THANKS TO
LENKE CARSON (MRS. DON) FOR BEING THE KEY PERSON THAT BROUGHT THE GROUP TO MAQUOKETA. SHE IS AN "UP WITH PEOPLE" ALUMNUS FROM CAST B, 1989. HER BUSINESS, BELLA SOUL JEWELRY ....THE ARTS COMMITTEE OF THE MAQUOKETA AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AND THE MAQUOKETA STATE BANK WERE THE PRIME SPONSORS OF THE APPEARANCE IN MAQUOKETA.
