FRIDAY DAILY REPORT

IT HAS BEEN A FOGGY DAY....FROM THIS MORNING ON....NEVER DID CLEAR
OFF.      MORE FOG TONIGHT.   A COLD WEEKEND COMING UP.
SUNDAY, A HIGH ONLY AROUND 10.

HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING LAST NIGHT HERE IN MAQUOKETA.
DYERSVILLE BECKMAN 50, MAQUOKETA 28.   FOR THE CARDINALS, ZACH
KOPPES WON A MAJOR DECISION, 18 TO 4.    AND JACOB KLOFT PINNED HIS
MAN IN 2 MIN. AND 26 SECONDS.

THEN LATER IN EVENING, MAQUOKETA 45, ANAMOSA 26.   LUCAS DAVISON WON 4 TO 3, ANDY DINGBAUM WON BY FALL IN 5:17, JACOB KLOFT WON
BY INJURY DEFAULT, AND BRYAN SOLOMON PINNED HIS MAN IN 2:58.
MAQUOKETA'S DUAL MEET RECORD IS NOW 3 AND 10.
ALSO LAST NIGHT, DYERSVILLE BECKMAN 60, ANAMOSA 6.
SO, DYERSVILLE HAS A VERY GOOD TEAM, ANAMOSA NOT VERY GOOD,
AND MAQUOKETA IS IN THE MIDDLE.     THERE WERE A LOT OF FORFEITS.

BASKETBALL TONIGHT, THE CARDINAL BOYS  HOST MT. VERNON AND
THE GIRLS ARE THERE.    BOTH MT. VERNON TEAMS ARE HAVING A GOOD
YEAR.      I WILL HAVE THE SCORES UP HERE TOMORROW MORNING.
BECAUSE OF THE FOG, THE DEWITT-ANAMOSA HOME AND AWAY
BASKETBALL GAMES TONIGHT HAVE BEEN POSTPONED.

THE CARDINAL BOWLING TEAMS ARE HOSTING INDEPENDENCE TODAY
AT TIMBER LANES.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RON MILLER IN ARIZONA.   83 TODAY.   A MAQUOKETA
NATIVE.    SAME BIRTHDAY AS ELVIS.    ELVIS WOULD HAVE BEEN 81
TODAY.    THERE WILL BE ANOTHER ELVIS LEGENDS SHOW A WEEK FROM
TOMORROW NIGHT AT OHNWARD FINE ARTS IN MAQUOKETA.    RON'S WIFE SHIRLEY (CLINTON NATIVE) IN HER EMAIL THIS MORNING SAID THE
WEATHER HAS NOT BEEN THE BEST DOWN THERE...RAINY AND COOL.

MAQUOKETA POLICE OFFICER KEENAN MEINEKE INVESTIGATED A 2-CAR
ACCIDENT TUESDAY AFTERNOON INVOLVING ELAINE DULL, 59, OF
MAQUOKETA AND A PARKED CAR OF SHERYL BURNS OF MAQUOKETA.
DULL WAS DRIVING A SCHOOL BUS AND STRUCK THE LEGALLY PARKED
CAR.   SHE SIDE-SWIPED THE CAR WHILE HER BUS WAS MAKING A RIGHT
TURN.      THE REPORT STATES DULL DID NOT  STOP OR NOTIFY
BURNS OF THE INCIDENT.    $2,000 DAMAGE TO THE BURN'S 2009 HONDA AND $500 DAMAGE TO THE SCHOOL BUS.    NO INJURIES AND ELAINE DULL WAS CITED FOR STRIKING AN UNATTENDED VEHICLE.

THE JACKSON COUNTY CATTLEMEN'S BANQUET IS TOMORROW NIGHT
AT THE FAIRGROUNDS.    OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AT 6.     TICKETS ON SALE AT THE DOOR AND HYPNOTIST JIM WAND ENTERTAINS.
