MONDAY DAILY REPORT

A CAR AND SEMI COLLIDED ON HIGHWAY 61 NEAR HURSTVILLE
AROUND 8 A.M. THIS MORNING.
THE DRIVER OF THE CAR WAS AIRLIFTED TO UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS
AND CLINICS IN IOWA CITY.    IT WAS A JACKSON COUNTY  CAR.     A BAD ACCIDENT.     SORRY I DON'T HAVE MORE DETAILS AT THIS TIME.
WHEN THE IOWA STATE PATROL INVESTIGATES AN ACCIDENT, WE HAVE
TO WAIT (TOO LONG) FOR DETAILS.

A TWO CAR ACCIDENT THURSDAY AT RURAL MAQUOKETA.
THE POLICE CHARGED MORGAN BAKER, AGE 17, MAQUOKETA,  WITH FAILURE TO STOP IN AN ASSURED CLEAR DISTANCE.
BLAINE BERGREN, AGE 17, WAS STOPPED WAITING FOR TRAFFIC TO MAKE
A LEFT TURN AND BAKER  DID NOT SEE THE BERGREN VEHICLE STOP AND HIT THE REAR OF IT.       $5,000 DAMAGE TO HER 1995 CHEVY CAR AND $800 DAMAGE TO THE 1996 CHEVY TRUCK.

CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT.    THEY WILL TALK ABOUT A NEW
OUTDOOR POOL...ABOUT SELLING CITY LAND...SETTING TRICK-OR-TREAT
NIGHT...SIDE WALKS...STOP SIGNS...LIGHTS IN LITTLE BEAR PARK...
TREADMILL PURCHASE AND BACK-UP GENERATORS.

SERVICES ARE PENDING FOR MAQUOKETA NATIVE DOUG EVANS, AGE
55, WHO DIED SUDDENLY SATURDAY EVENING IN IDAHO.    SURVIVORS
INCLUDE HIS PARENTS, RON AND DORIS EVENS OF PELLA AND FORMERLY
OF MAQUOKETA.

A BIRTH.
TRACIE AND DR. JACK BROMAN OF GAINESVILLE, GA. ARE PARENTS OF
A SON, BORN SEPTEMBER 13TH AT NORTHEAST MEDICAL CENTER IN
GAINESVILLE.
