THIS MORNING WHEN I GOT UP AT 7....A BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE MORNING. NOW, AT 11 WE ARE HAVING SOME LIGHT RAIN. HUNDREDS SHOWED UP THIS MORNING FOR THE 7 AM UNTIL 12 NOON BREAKFAST AT THE NEW MAQUOKETA FIRE STATTION. ALL WERE IMPRESSED AT HOW NICE A BUILDING IT IS. MANY TOOK A TOUR, BUT I UNDERSTAND A FORMAL RIBBON CUTTING AND GRAND OPENING WITH TOURS IS COMING SOON, FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T ATTEND THE BREAKFAST TODAY. I THINK IT MIGHT BE SAFE TO SAY THAT MAQUOKETA NOW HAS HE NICEST VOLUNTEER FIRE STATION IN THE COUNTRY. MORE PHOTOS BELOW. ALSO PHOTOS FARTHER DOWN FROM YESTERDAY'S TIMBER CITY DAYS EVENTS, ALONG WITH A SATURDAY DAILY REPORT.
