AT ROTARY TODAY, ROTARY PRESIDENT ATTORNEY BRIAN SPANNAGEL PRESENTED A $3,700 CHECK TO SCOTT GENT, AT LEFT, MAQUOKETA'S
MR. AGRICULTURE....AND ALSO A CHECK OF SAME AMOUNT TO GREG
BOPES AT RIGHT, FARM DIRECTOR AT MAQUOKETA STATE BANK.   THE
MONEY IS THE PROCEEDS OF ROTARY'S ANNUAL "REVERSE RAFFLE" DINNER
EVENT, HELD RECENTLY.    BOPE'S CHECK WILL GO FOR THE NEW
AG/FFA BUILDING PLANNED FOR NEAR THE HIGH SCHOOL AND GENT'S CHECK WILL GO FOR THE PLANNED NEW EXTENSION/4-H BUILDING AT THE
FAIRGROUNDS.

WORK HAS STARTED ON THE NEW "TRAILS" BRIDGE ACROSS THE
MAQUOKETA RIVER.    PART OF OLD VEHICLE BRIDGE CLOSED YEARS AGO, WILL BE USED FOR THE NEW WALKING/BIKE TRAIL BRIDGE THAT WILL GO OUT TO THE HURSTVILLE INTERPRETIVE CENTER.
