SUNNY TODAY WITH HIGHS IN UPPER 50'S.
IN OCTOBER, WE GOT JUST UNDER 4 INCHES OF RAIN AND SO FAR, WE HAVE HAD AROUND 40 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION
IN MAQUOKETA. PRETTY GOOD.

IN PLAYOFF FOOTBALL LAST NIGHT, DEWITT DEFEATED FAIRFIELD AND WILL NOW PLAY MARION NEXT TUESDAY NIGHT IN DEWITT. DEWITT SCORED A NEAR RECORD HIGH OF 69 POINTS. THE RECORD IS 70 AGAINST SAVANNA.
NORTHEAST OF GOOSELAKE WON THEIR GAME AND WILL PLAY THEIR NEXT GAME ON MONDAY NIGHT, AGAIN AT GOOSE LAKE, TAKING ON IOWA CITY REGINA.
IOWA CITY REGINA, RANKED #2 IN THE STATE, DEFEATED BELLEUE LAST NIGHT.

JEFFREY FULTINER, AGE 44, OF MAQUOKETA, DIED YESTERDAY.
HIS COMPLETE OBIT IS AT http://www.carsonandson.com/

BARBARA WIDEL, AGE 70, OF MAQUOKETA, DIED THIS MORNING AT FINLEY HOSPITAL IN DUBUQUE AND SERVICES ARE PENDING AT CARSON'S.

FOR MANY YEARS, MAQUOKETA HAD ONLY A COUPLE ELEVATORS. IN RECENT YEARS, SEVERAL MORE WERE INSTALLED. MAQUOKETA'S NEWEST BEGAN OPERATIONS
TODAY, AT THE MAQUOKETA STATE BANK. THE 3-STOP ELEVATOR IS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING, JUST OFF THE NORTH ENTRYWAY. LAST YEAR, M-S-B STARTED A 3-PHASE
REMODELING PROJECT, IN THE LOWER LEVEL. FIRST, BUILDING A NEW BOARD ROOM. THEN PHASE TWO, A LARGER AREA FOR BOOKKEEPING, AND PHASE THREE, THE ADDITION OF AN ELEVATOR. WORK STARTED EARLY THIS YEAR AND TODAY, THE NEW ELEVATOR WAS PUT INTO SERVICE AND THE
NORTH ENTRANCE WAS AGAIN OPENED FOR PUBLIC USE.
THE ELEVATOR WAS NEEDED FOR ACCESS TO THE MEETING ROOM IN THE LOWER LEVEL USED FOR PUBLIC BANKING SEMINARS AND ALSO WAS NEEDED FOR ACCESS TO THE LOWER LEVEL REST ROOMS FOR THE HANDICAPPED. AND OF COURSE, IT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE DOING BANKING BUSINESS ON EITHER LEVEL AND NOT ABLE TO USE A STAIRWAY.
THIS AFTERNOON, AL TUBBS, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF
ONWARD BANKS (M-S-B IS THE OLDEST OHNWARD BANK-1958)
AND BARB MILLER, M-S-B PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER GAVE ME A RIDE ON THE NEW ELEVATOR. I TOOK 3 PHOTOS, BUT WAS ONLY ABLE TO GET ONE UP HERE ON THIS DAILY REPORT. CHECK IT OUT BELOW. THE NEW ATM MACHINE IS ALSO IN SERVICE AND IS LOCATED JUST OUTSIDE THE NORTH ENTRANCE.

GOING TO SEE THE VIENNA BOYS CHOIR AT THE OHNWARD CENTER TONIGHT. WILL GIVE YOU A REPORT TOMORROW.

IT'S NOVEMBER. BUSY DAYS AHEAD IN THE NEXT TWO MONTHS. HOPE YOU HAVE A FUNTIME. I PLAYED MY FIRST CHRISTMAS CAROL THIS MORNING, BUT ONLY BECAUSE IT WAS THE ONLY SONG I COULD FIND BY ROBERT GOULET, WHO DIED THIS WEEK AT THE AGE OF 73. GOOD SINGER. SAW HIM IN PERSON ONCE IN BRANSON.

TAKE CARE.

DENNIS VOY
MY TOUR AND FIRST RIDE ON THE NEW MAQUOKETA STATE BANK ELEVATOR IS OVER AND ALAN AND BARB BID ME FAREWELL AND ENCOURAGED ME TO USE IT OFTEN. IT WAS A SMOOTH RIDE. THEY ARE ON LOWER LEVEL NOW. ALAN
WILL GO UP TO MIDDLE STOP AND HEAD FOR HIS OFFICE IN THE EAST OHNWARD BUILDING ACROSS THE ROAD, AND
BARB WILL GO UP TO TOP LEVEL AND RETURN TO HER OFFICE.
YES, ITS EASY AND FUN TO USE THE NEW ELEVATOR.
