ICE ICE AND MORE ICE.
NO SCHOOL AGAIN TODAY.
VERY SLIPPERY THIS MORNING....EVEN NOW IN MANY PLACES.
RAIN AND IN LOW 40'S SATURDAY WILL GET RID OF A LOT OF THE ICE.

HERE IN JACKSON COUNTY, OVER 20 VEHICLE ACCIDENTS OVER NIGHT....MANY JUST SINGLE VEHICLE.   A COUPLE SEMIS JACK-KNIFED.

ON THE POLICE BLOTTER....JESS BAKER REPORTED AT NOON YESTERDAY THAT THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOW ON HER CAR WAS BROKEN WHILE PARKED IN THE FAREWAY PARKING LOT.
AND, KATIE MICHEL REPORTED SHE STRUCK A DEER YESTERDAY AFTERNOON ON 217TH AVENUE.
ALSO, MEREDITH BRANDT OF MAQUOKETA  STRUCK A DEER ON HIGHWAY 61, NEAR 225TH STREET NORTH OF DEWITT LAST FRIDAY.

IN BUSINESS NEWS, VI YEAGER HAS RETIRED , AFTER 20 YEARS SELLING REAL
ESTATE IN THE MAQUOKETA AREA.

NO WRESTLING TONIGHT BECAUSE THERE WAS NO SCHOOL  TODAY,       WHENEVER SCHOOL CLOSES BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER,  ACTIVITIES ALSO MUST BE
CANCELLED OR POSTPONED.      THE WRESTLING MEET WILL BE RESCHEDULED SOON.
TOMORROW, NO SCHOOL AGAIN IN MAQUOKETA, BECAUSE OF A SCHEDULED "IN SERVICE" DAY.    ACTIVITIES CAN BE HELD.     TOMORROW NIGHT, IN BASKETBALL, THE CARDINAL GIRLS PLAY AT MARION AND THE MAQUOKETA BOYS HOST MARION IN WAMAC PLAY.    GAMES AT 4:30....6 AND AROUND 7:30.  

THE LITTLE CARDS WRESTLERS WILL WRESTLE AT DEWITT SATURDAY.

DRIVE CAREFULLY, BUCKLE-UP AND USE THE CELL PHONE AFTER YOU GET TO YOUR DESTINATION.     OR PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD  AND USE.
