SUNNY AND IN MID 70'S AGAIN....NOT QUITE AS WARM TODAY AS WE WERE
EXPECTING.
TOMORROW, WE ARE SUPPOSED TO GET UP TO THE LOW 80'S.
SUNDAY TOO.

NO RAIN IN FORECAST

BIG NIGHT LAST NIGHT AT GREAT JONES COUNTY FAIR FOR THE MIRANDA
LAMBERT SHOW.   TONIGHT, LUKE BRYAN.
THEY ANNOUNCED LAST NIGHT THAT TIM McGRAW HAS BEEN SIGNED FOR
NEXT YEAR.

THE CLINTON COUNTY FAIR, LIKE JONES, CONTINUES THROUGH SUNDAY.
AND RUSTIC DAYS ARE THIS WEEKEND IN LOST NATION.

TOMORROW NIGHT, FIREWORKS AT THE FAIRGROUNDS IN MAQUOKETA AFTER THE STOCK CAR RACES, POSTPONED TWICE BECAUSE OF WEATHER.

MAQUOKETA PLAYS DEWITT IN TOURNAMENT BASEBALL TONIGHT ON THE
MAQUOKETA DIAMOND, AT 7  P.M.    THE GAME WILL BE BROADCAST BY
LEIGHTON HEPKER AT 7 P.M. AND THE GAME WILL BE ON OUR WEB  HOME PAGE....JUST TURN-ON THE RADIO IN THE LOWER RIGHT HAND CORNER.

SOMEONE HIT A FIRE HYDRANT IN FRONT OF WEB PRINTING IN MAQUOKETA  ON EAST MAPLE STREET....ONE THAT HAD JUST BEEN REPLACED.
IT WILL BE OUT OF SERVICE UNTIL NEXT WEEK.
FIRE CHIEF MARK BECKS IS ASKING RESIDENTS TO CLEAR-OUT THE WEEDS OR FLOWERS AROUND A FIRE HYDRANY TO ALLOW FIREMEN TO GET IT
QUICKLY IN AN EMERGENCY.

IN BUSINESS NEWS, ALAN TUBBS OF OHNWARD BANCSHARES, INC.
ANNOUNCED THIS WEEK THAT CHUCK CURRENT WILL JOIN THE
ORGANIZATION AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND CHEIF BUSINESS OFFICER.
HE WAS A GRADUATE OF MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL  AND WORKED AT
THE MAQUOKETA STATE BANK WHILE IN HIGH SCHOOL.   HE AND  HIS WIFE WENDY HAVE A DAUGHTER KELLY WHO WILL BE A JUNIOR AT ELKHORN SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL IN ELKHORN, NEBRASKA.    CHUCK WILL LIVE IN MAQUOKETA AND HIS WIFE WILL JOIN  HIM AFTER KELLY COMPLETES HIGH
SCHOOL.
