WEDNESDAY DAILY REPORT

TODAY, A SUNNY NICE DAY IN THE 30'S.
EVEN BETTER WEATHER COMING EVERY DAY THIS WEEK.

IN SPORTS:
THE REGULAR SEASON ENDED LAST  NIGHT FOR THE CARDINAL BOYS
BASKETBALL TEAM AND THEY WON, DEFEATING WESTERN DUBUQUE, 65 TO 51.    THEY ENDED WITH A 19 AND 9 RECORD AND 12 AND 6 IN THE
WAMAC.    JONANTHAN ERNST HAD 23 POINTS.    MONDAY NIGHT, THE
CARDINALS HOST DAVENPORT ASSUMPTION IN A DISTRICT TOURNAMENT
GAME AT THE MAQUOKETA GYM.

TONIGHT, THE CARDINAL GIRLS PLAY A TOURNAMENT GAME AT CENTRAL OF DEWITT, AGAINST THE SABER GIRLS.     THE SABERS WON BOTH REGULAR
SEASON GAMES OVER THE CARDINALS THIS SEASON.    MATT CLARK
WILL BROADCAST THE GAME STARTING AT 6:45 ON KMAQ AM, FM AND
OUR INTERNET HOME PAGE.

THE MAQUOKETA BOYS BOWLING TEAM WON THE CLASS 1-A STATE
QUALIFYING MEET AT TIMBER LANES YESTERDAY.    THE CARDINALS
WILL BOWL IN THE 1-A STATE MEET IN DES MOINES NEXT MONDAY.

SENIOR JACOB KLOFT WILL WRESTLE IN THE STATE TOURNAMENT IN
DES MOINES TOMORROW.    BELOW, JACOB WITH HIS COACH PAUL
KOOB.

THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIRBOARD WILL BE HOLDING A FUNDRAISER
THE WEEKEND OF FEB 26TH AND 27TH.   THEY NEED TO       RAISE FUNDS
FOR A  NEW ROOF FOR THE PEARSON BUILDING ON THE  FAIRGROUNDS, THAT WILL COST OVER $100,000.    ON FRIDAY NIGHT, A GROUP KNOWN
AS "SONGBLAST" WILL PERFORM AND THERE WILL BE A ROAST PORK
DINNER.    SATURDAY NIGHT, IMPACT PRO WRESTLING RETURNS TO
THE FAIRGROUNDS.   I WILL HAVE MORE ON BOTH NIGHTS NEXT WEEK.

COMPETITORS FOR  "DANCING WITH THE CARDS 2016" ON MARCH 11TH HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED, A FUNDRAISER FOR THE MAQUOKETA ATHLETIC
BOOSTER CLUB.    THERE WILL BE 9 COUPLES COMPETING.   I WILL
HAVE THEIR NAMES TOMORROW.
