WE HAD LIGHT RAIN AND FOG MOST OF THIS MORNING.   THIS AFTERNOON IT WAS CLOUDY AND WE REACHED 41 DEGREES.
TOMORROW, THE TEMPERATURE WILL FALL DURING THE DAY.
SUNDAY'S HIGH WILL BE ONLY IN THE 20'S.    BUT, LOOKING AHEAD,  WE
WILL BE BACK TO THE MID-THIRTIES BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.

WE HAVE BASKETBALL ON KMAQ-FM TONIGHT (AND HERE ON OUR WEB SITE TOO) AT AROUND 7:20.   MATT CLARK WILL BROADCAST THE MAQUOKETA
BOY'S  GAME FROM ANAMOSA.   
THE  CARDINAL GIRLS HOST ANAMOSA TONIGHT.

A MAQUOKETA  MAN REPORTED TO MAQUOKETA POLICE THIS MORNING THAT HIS CAR WAS RANSACKED OVERNIGHT.   CECIL BENTLEY AT 720 COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE TOLD POLICE THIS MORNING THAT HIS UNLOCKED CAR HAD BEEN GONE THROUGH BUT NOTHING WAS APPARENTLY
TAKEN.

ROBERT D. FULTON, AGE 66, OF MAQUOKETA AND FORMERLY OF
DAVENPORT, DIED WEDNESDAY AT GENESIS MEDICAL CENTER-EAST
IN DAVENPORT.    ARRANGEMENTS ARE PENDING AT THE McGINNIS-
CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME IN BETTENDORF.

BILL FLEMMING, NOW OF BETTENDORF, WAS IN THIS WEEK AND HE
IS STILL WORKING ON HIS BOOK ABOUT MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL WHILE HE WAS THE LONGTIME COACH.   HE FIRST HOPED TO GET IT DOWN LAST LAST YEAR BUT THAT DID NOT HAPPEN.     NO COMPLETION DATE WAS MENTIONED THIS WEEK.  

THE DECKER HOTEL AND RESTAURANT IN MAQUOKETA IS STILL OPEN
AND BEING RUN BY THE MILLEN'S, WHO HAVE OWNED IT FOR NEARLY
3 YEARS.    SOME MEDIA COVERAGE  HAS MENTIONED IT IS CLOSED.

THERE WILL BE A  ONE-HOUR HIGH SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM TOMORROW
NIGHT AT THE OHNWARD FINE ARTS CENTER.

THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLERS LAST NIGHT DEFEATED
CLEAR CREEK AMANA, 34 TO 25.
BUT...THEY ALSO LOST TO MOUNT VERNON, 53 TO 15.
