77 TODAY....BEAUTIFUL..... AND MORE GOOD WEATHER COMING.

THE UNION REPRESENTING THE POLICE OFFICERS AND DISPATCHERS
IS ASKING FOR A 4 PERCENT SALARY INCREASE.....AND MORE THINGS
BESIDES SALARY. THE CITY COUNCIL PERSONNEL COMMITTEE WILL MEET AT NOON TOMORROW AT CITY HALL TO TALK ABOUT THE REQUESTS.

THE MCHS MARCHING BAND, DIRECTED BY KENT CRAWFORD, WILL BE IN THE STATE MARCHING BAND COMPETITION SATURDAY AT KINGSTON STADIUM IN
CEDAR RAPIDS. THE CARDINAL BAND WILL PERFORM FOR THE JUDGES AT 1 P.M.
THERE WILL BE 75 MEMBERS AND THE COLOR GUARD PERFORMING.
THE FINAL REHERSAL IS TOMORROW NIGHT AT 7 AT THE PRACTICE FIELD
SOUTH OF THE HIGH SCHOOL AND THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME TO COME
AND WATCH. IT WILL BE PARENT APPRECIATION NIGHT.

IT IS FIRE PREVENTION WEEK AND THE EDITH DRILL IS AT 6 TONIGHT CITYWIDE.
EDITH STANDS FOR "EXIT DRILLS IN THE HOME". FAMILY MEMBERS PRACTICE THEIR PRE-ARRANGED PLAN TO LEAVE THE HOME IN CASE OF FIRE.

A NEW INCOME TAX OFFICE HAS OPENED ON NORTH MAIN IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA.

A NEW PAWN SHOP WILL OPEN IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA SOON.

THE NEW CHINESE RESTAURANT OPENS SOON.

THE KMAQ BUILDING HAS A NEW LOOK! THE FRONT WAS RE-PAINTED THIS WEEK.
