43 WAS THE OVERNIGHT LOW LAST NIGHT.
AND TODAY'S HIGH WAS 43....THE TEMPERATURE DID NOT BUDGE ALL DAY. FOG THIS MORNING....AND NOW FOG IN FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AGAIN. 1 TO 2 INCHES OF SNOW FORECAST FOR TOMORROW AND AN INCH AGAIN TOMORROW NIGHT. NO SNOW IN FORECAST FOR THANKSGIVING DAY, BUT TURKEY DAY WILL BE COLD, WITH A HIGH IN MID 30'S.

A MAQUOKETA WOMAN WAS KILLED LATE THIS AFTERNOON ON HIGHWAY 61, JUST NORTH OF MAQUOKETA, IN THE VICINITY OF THE HURSTVILLE INTREPRETIVE CENTER. POSSIBLY WEATHER RELATED. NO DETAILS YET AVAILABLE AND HER NAME CAN NOT BE AIRED UNTIL TOMORROW. MANY PEOPLE IN MAQUOKETA KNOW HER.

JONES COUNTY SHERIFF DEPUTIES RELEASED INFORMATION TODAY ON THE GUNSHOT INCIDENT AT RURAL WYOMING
SATURDAY NIGHT, WHICH RESULTED IN SERIOUS INJURIES TO A MAQUOKETA MAN. JUSTIN MOHR, AGE 21, OF MAQUOKETA IS IN THE HOSPITAL IN IOWA CITY, IN CRITICAL CONDITION.
JONES COUNTY DEPUTY GREG GRAVER SAID AARON SCOTT, AGE 23, OF WYOMING WAS SITTING IN HIS PICKUP HOLDING A LOADED HANDGUN AT HIS RESIDENCE, RURAL WYOMING, ON 20TH AVENUE. BROCK BOWMAN, AGE 23, OF MAQUOKETA, WAS STANDING OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE ATTEMPTING TO DISARM SCOTT OF THE FIREARM. A STRUGGLE ENSUED OVER THE HANDGUN AND THE WEAPON FIRED ONCE AND THE BULLIT
TRAVELED THROUGH THE DRIVERS WINDOW AND HIT JUSTIN MOHR WHO WAS STANDING NEXT TO THE TRUCK. MOHR WAS FIRST TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL HERE IN MAQUOKETA AND THEN WAS AIRLIFTED TO UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS, WHERE HE REMAINS IN CRITICAL CONDITION WITH INTERNAL INJURIES, ACCORDING TO THE DEPUTY. AARON SCOTT WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY. CHARGES HAVE NOT BEEN FILED AT THIS TIME.
THE CASE REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION. MOHR IS A SENIOR AT ST. AMBROSE COLLEGE IN DAVENPORT.

THE MAQUOKETA GIRL'S HAVE STARTED THEIR SEASON.
THEY LOST THEIR OPENING GAME AT CEDAR RAPIDS SATURDAY NIGHT AND WITH THEIR 0 AND 1 RECORD, ARE HOSTING NORTH SCOTT TONIGHT.

THE KMAQ OLD TIME TURKEY SHOOT IS GOING ON AGAIN THESE DAYS AND LISTENERS ARE SHOOTING AT TURKEYS IN KMAQ'S CAGES. WE HAVE HAD LOTS OF WINNERS AND LOTS OF BAD SHOOTERS TOO. THIS FUN PROMOTION HAS BEEN A REGULAR AT THANKSGIVING TIME SINCE 1958.
