BOTH JOSHUA DAVIS, AGE 24, AND HIS WIFE, LINDA MICHELLE, AGE 34, WERE EMPLOYEES AND WERE FOUND SHOT TO DEATH BEHIND THE COUNTER OF THE STORE. JOSHUA IS THE SON OF DAVID DAVIS OF TORNOTO, IOWA AND WAS A GRADUATE OF CALAMUS-WHEATLAND HIGH SCHOOL. THE DAUGHTER OF LINDA, JORDON NICHOLE TODARO, AGE 14, WAS KIDNAPPED BY THE ALLEDGED KILLER, GEORGE HONEA, AGE 34, OF ANNISTON. AT LAST REPORT, A STANDOFF WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT IS UNDERWAY IN A SMALL TOWN MOTEL SOUTH OF ANNISTON.
HONEA IS KNOW TO POLICE BECAUSE HE HAD BEEN A FUGITIVE SINCE WEDNESDAY WHEN WARRANTS WERE ISSUED FOR HIS ARREST, ON RAPE AND THEFT CHARGES. HE APPARENTLY WAS GOING TO ROB THE CONVENIENCE STORE AND THE DOUBLE MURDER AND KIDNAPPING THEN OCCURRED.

BENJAMIN HIGGINS, AGE 72, OF MAQUOKETA, WAS TAKEN TO MERCY HOSPITAL IN CLINTON BY SABULA AMBULANCE AFTER HIS CAR FLIPPED IN THE DITCH YESTERDAY AFTERNOON ABOUT 4:30 THE THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAYS 52 AND 64. NO REPORT ON HIS CONDITION.

A MAQUOKETA WOMAN, NICOLE DODDS, AGE 26, ESCAPED INJURY AFTER SHE PUT HER VEHICLE INTO THE DITCH AND THROUGH A CREEK LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT NEAR ANDREW. SHE WAS CHARGED BY SHERIFF RUSS KETTMAN FOR FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL AND DRIVING WHILE LICENSE BARRED. SHE SAID SHE SWERVED TO AVOID A DEER.

IN DISTRICT COURT, ROBERT ALLEN FELTES, AGE 29, WAS SENTENCED TO 30 DAYS IN JAIL, 28 SUSPENDED, ON CHARGES BACK ON JUNE 13TH OF OPERATING A VEHICLE WHILE INTOXICATED.

RICHARD L. STARRY, 67, OF GARNER , IOWA, DIED YESTERDAY. HE WAS FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA.

HAROLD "DOC" GRAVES OF MAQUOKETA, AGE 72, DIED TODAY AT THE HOSPITAL IN DEWITT.
HE NEVER MARRIED AND WORKED FOR YEARS AT CLINTON ENGINES AND FOR THE CITY WASTWATER AND SEWER DEPARTMENTS, RETIRING IN 1990. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS SISTER, DARLENE COON OF MAQUOKETA AND A BROTHER, BOBBY GRAVES,OF MAQUOKETA.
