THIS IS PHOTO OF FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH IN MAQUOKETA. WHERE I HAVE BEEN GOING TO CHURCH SINCE I CAME TO TOWN 50 YEARS AGO. IT IS A LARGER BUILDING AND CONGREGATION THAN IT WAS THEN. THE LONGTIME PASTOR WAS REV. HAROLD KUMPF, NOW DECEASED. HIS WIFE ELANOR IS STILL LIVING AND IN A CARE CENTER HERE IN TOWN. TODAY, THE CHURCH'S ANNUAL OUTDOOR SERVICE AND PICNIC WAS HELD AT CAMP SHALOM, A COUPLE MILES FROM MAQUOKETA.
SERVICE AT 10:30 AND POTLUCK AT NOON. BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR IT AND NANCY AND I ENJOYED IT. AND, I TOOK ALONG MY CAMERA. ENJOY THE PHOTOS BELOW
AND CLICK ON EACH PHOTO TO ENLARGE IT.
HAVE A GOOD WEEK.
