THE RECORD HIGH ON THIS DAY WAS 77 IN 1921.
TODAY WE HAD A HIGH OF 76.
FIRST DAY IN NEARLY A WEEK WE DID NOT BREAK THE RECORD.
WE DID HAVE A NICE LITTLE RAIN THIS MORNING....BUT WE NEED A LOT
MORE AND MORE IS IN FORECAST FOR THIS WEEK.

THE MAQUOKETA SCHOOL BOARD HAS A SPECIAL MEETING AT 5:30 TODAY FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE BRIGGS THERMAL PROJECT. THE BIDS CAME IN UNDER BUDGET. THE BOARD MAY AWARD THE CONTRACT TODAY.
ALSO ON THE AGENDA, AN UPDATE ON THE WELDING ADDITION AT THE HIGH
SCHOOL.

CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT AT 7.
ON THE AGENDA...
PROPOSED ATV ROUTES IN MAQUOKETA THIS SUMMER.....AND
JOHN WELLS IS ON THE AGENDA TO TALK ABOUT THIS YEAR'S "TORQUEFEST".
AND THE COUNCIL WILL TALK ABOUT LIGHTS IN THE HISTORIC DISTRICT
ON WEST PLEASANT STREET.

THE MAQUOKETA KIWANIS ANNOUNCED THAT THEIR ANNUAL
