WEDNESDAY DAILY

THERE ARE MANY IN MAQUOKETA WHO WISH THE CITY  HAD AN OUTDOOR
SWIMMING POOL.   IT HAS ONE!    I TOOK THIS PHOTO YESTERDAY AT THE
MAQUOKETA COUNTRY CLUB.    IT HAD JUST CLOSED FOR THE DAY.   THE COUNTRY CLUB DECIDED THIS YEAR TO OPEN IT TO THE PUBLIC WHO PAY A FAMILY SUMMER MEMBERSHIP FEE TO USE IT.   THE FEE IS $250, WITH NO ADDITIONAL DAILY FEE WHEN YOU USE IT.    JUST $250 AND YOU (AND FAMILY) CAN SWIM EVERY DAY,  AFTERNOONS AND EVENINGS TOO.     LIFEGUARDS IN THE AFTERNOON BUT NOT IN THE EVENING.

FOOTBALL COACH KEVIN BOWMAN AND SOME OF HIS PLAYERS VOLUTEERED
THEIR TIME TO MOVE ALMOST EVERY PIECE OF EQUIPMENT AROUND, ON THE THE WELLNESS FLOOR AT THE YMCA.     THE YMCA ANTICIPATES HAVING ABOUT $10,000 WORTH OF FREE WEIGHTS INSTALLED IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS.     I UNDERSTAND THERE HAS BEEN A NEED FOR THESE.

LATE THIS AFTERNOON, THIS COUPLE HAD THEIR  PHOTOGRAPHER TAKE
THEIR ENGAGEMENT PHOTO AT THE 61 DRIVE-IN THEATRE.   FOR THE
STORY, GO BACK TO KMAQ HOME PAGE AND CLICK-ON THE  VOY  THEATRE
BLOG.
