MONDAY DAILY REPORT

NICE DAY TODAY....SUNNY AND  HIGH OF 63.
TOMORROW, SUNNY AND WARMER.
WEDNESDAY, CHANCE OF RAIN, PARTLY SUNNY AND HIGH OF 81.

MAQUOKETA POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A VANDALISM INCIDENT.
THOMAS MANNING OF S. PROSPECT REPORTED SUNDAY EVENING THAT THE GLASS WAS BROKEN OUT OF  HIS STORM DOOR.

WENDY SCOTT, OWNER OF RONANN'S FLORAL SHOP (IN MAQUOKETA OVER 55 YEARS)  SAID TODAY HER BUSINESS IS NOT FOR SALE.    MEMBERS OF THE MEADE FAMILY HAVE LISTED THE PROPERTY (BUILDINGS AND LAND)  WITH A REALTOR.    AND SHE SAID SHE IS  NOT PERSONALLY LOOKING AT THIS TIME TO BUY THE PROPERTY.    IF THE PROPERTY IS SOLD, SHE SAID SHE WOULD  HOPE TO BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO RENT FROM THE NEW
OWNER OR WOULD HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER LOCATION FOR HER
BUSINESS.

CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT.   

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN IT'S 26 YEAR HISTORY, THE LUCAS OIL MLRA
SERIES WILL JOURNEY INTO EASTERN IOWA FOR A PAIR OF RACES.
THE SUPER LATE MODEL TRAVELING RACING SERIES WILL BE IN DAVENPORT THIS FRIDAY AND AT THE JACKSON COUNTY SPEEDWAY IN MAQUOKETA
THIS SATURDAY NIGHT.

STOCK CAR RACING WINNERS THIS PAST SATURDAY NIGHT IN
MAQUOKETA.      JUSTIN KAY, TYLER MADIGAN, JOE BONNEY, TYLER SOPPE,
JUSTIN LICHTY AND GAGE NEAL.

"GOD'S NOT DEAD"...A HIT MOVIE, WILL BE SHOWN IN MAQUOKETA
THE NEXT TWO MONDAYS AT THE VOY THEATRE.    MONDAYS ONLY!
THE MOVIE WILL BE SHOWN AT 2 P.M. AND AT 7 P.M. EACH MONDAY AT
REGULAR ADMISSION.     GOOGLE "GOD'S NOT DEAD" AND WATCH A
PREVIEW OF IT.     MANY PEOPLE  HAVE REQUESTED WE SHOW IT.
BECAUSE IT IS IN "DIGITAL" ONLY, WE HAD NO TIME IN THE NEAR FUTRURE TO SHOW IT, UNLESS ON MONDAYS WHEN THE THEATRE IS NORMALLY CLOSED.
THE DATES AGAIN:   MAY 12TH AND 19TH.

HAVE A GOOD WEEK AND ENJOY THE WARMER WEATHER.
AND IT WILL BE GOOD FOR FARM PLANTING, NOW BEHIND.
BUT...DON'T PUT THAT AIR-CONDITONER ON RIGHT AWAY!

THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS COURTS ARE THE FINEST ANYWHERE.
TODAY THE CARDINALS ARE HOSTING THE  BOY'S WAMAC TOURNAMENT.    THE GIRLS ARE AT
DAVENPORT ASSUMPTION.

                              THE WEST COURTS

             THE BLEACHERS BETWEEN COURTS
I WILL LET YOU KNOW TOMORROW...THE WINNERS!

THE U.S.A. WOULD BE IN BETTER SHAPE IF TENNIS
WAS A REQUIRED SPORT IN EVERY SCHOOL DISTRICT.    START IT IN HIGH SCHOOL AND THEN 
PLAY IT THROUGHOUT LIFE!

70 YEARS AGO!

I WOULD HATE TO TELL YOU HOW MANY "POUNDS" AGO!

PHOTO.....WITH BABY BROTHER GERALD, NOW RETIRED AND STILL  LIVING IN HOMETOWN, HORICON, WISCONSIN.    CHUCK IN MILWAUKEE IS THE YOUNGEST AND NO SISTERS.

THANK YOU LORD FOR THE 75 YEARS....HOPING I'LL BE AROUND QUITE A FEW MORE.     DAD LIVED TO BE 92.

YESTERDAY, I BLEW OUT ALL 75 CANDLES WITH 3 PUFFS.    NOT TOO BAD.
THE (DRIVE-IN) CAKE (MADE BY GRANDDAUGHTER
SARA CLASEN) BEFORE THE CANDLES WERE PUT ON.

WHEN I ARRIVED AT STATION AT 6:30 THIS MORNING....BELOW.....THE FRONT WINDOW
AND LOOKING AHEAD AS I SAT DOWN AT THE FM CONTROL BOARD.
