THE KMAQ SIDEWALK IS NEARLY DONE.     THE ABOVE POURED THIS MORNING AND STILL WET.     NOTE THE  "PICTURE FRAME"  SURROUNDING EACH SEGMENT....ABOUT 6 INCHES WIDE.    THE BRICK, COMING LATER, WILL BE IN THE NARROW SEGMENT UPPER RIGHT, ALONG THE CURB.    LOOKS GREAT ALREADY AND WILL BE  REALLY GREAT WHEN FINISHED.

THE FAIR STARTS WITH THE PARADE AT 6 TONIGHT.   IT WILL BE BROADCAST ON KMAQ, INCLUDING WEB SITE HOME PAGE AT WWW.KMAQ.COM AND TURN-ON THE LITTLE RADIO.   TOOK THESE PHOTOS

HI HO..COME TO THE FAIR.

WHEN NOT AT THE FAIR, KEEP YOUR DIAL SET TO
KMAQ AM OR FM.   LEIGHTON AND I WILL BE
BROADCASTING FROM THE PEARSON CENTER ON THE GROUNDS EACH AFTERNOON AND EVENING
TOMORROW, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.
KMAQ WENT ON-THE-AIR IN 1958 AFTER THE FAIR
WAS OVER THAT YEAR.    SO, THE FIRST FAIR
WE BROADCAST FROM WAS THE 1959 FAIR, AND
WE HAD A FIRST-ANNIVERSARY TENT, WITH A
SIGN-UP FOR FREE RADIOS.   I WAS THERE OF
COURSE.     THE ONLY TWO FAIRS I DID NOT COVER
WERE THE 1963 AND 1964 FAIRS, WHEN I WAS IN
THE ARMY.    LEIGHTON HEPKER HAS COVERED
EVERY JACKSON COUNTY FAIR FOR KMAQ SINCE
1975.
