AFTER A LITTLE SHOWER AT 6 THIS MORNING, A NICE DAY TODAY....HIGH OF 79.
THE REST OF THE WEEK LOOKS GOOD.

LANE AND BERNA SAGERS OF MAQUOKETA OWN AN EMPTY HOME AT 803 SOUTH 2ND STREET IN MAQUOKETA.   THEY LIVE IN  A HOME THEY BUILDT  LOCATED OFF THE MAQUOKETA CAVES ROAD, OVERLOOKING THE MAQUOKETA  RIVER.
AND THEY HAVE GIVEN THE 2ND STREET HOME TO THE JACKSON COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY.
IT IS LISTED FOR SALE NOW BY KENNEDY-GILMORE REALTY.
I'M SURE THE SOCIETY WILL PUT  THE MONEY GO GOOD USE.

MAQUOKETA CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT.

MAQUOKETA CITY HALL WILL BE CLOSED THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND
FRIDAY FOR EMPLOYEES TO WORK ON REARRANGING THE CITY HALL
OFFICES.

KENT RUPPERT OF MAQUOKETA HIT A DEER AT 8 IN THE EVENING
ON HIGHWAY 61.   $2,000 DAMAGE TO HIS 2007 TRUCK.

ON THE POLICE BLOTTER:
HALEY  HAMMERAND ON SOUTH NIAGARA STREET REPORTED SATURDAY THAT
HER PONTIAC GRAND AM WAS DAMAGED  THE PREVIOUS NIGHT.   THE WINDOWS HAD BEEN SMASHED AND DENTS WERE PUT IN THE SIDES.

 THE NEW DIGITAL SIGN WILL BE IN OPERATION BEFORE THE JACKSON
COUNTY FAIR STARTS IN LATE JULY.   IT WILL BE AT THE SAME PLACE
AS THE PRESENT SIGN, AT THE CORNER OF HIGHWAY 64 EAST AND
HIGHWAY 62.
