THE MAQUOKETA BOYS BEAT INDEPENDENCE FRIDAY NIGHT, 57 TO 45. TONIGHT THEY PLAY AT DEWITT.
THE MAQUOKETA GIRLS ALSO BEAT INDEPENDENCE FRIDAY NIGHT, 62 TO 42 BUT LOST TO
NORTH SCOTT SATURDAY NIGHT. TOMORROW NIGHT, THEY PLAY DEWITT.

THE WRESTLERS WERE IN A TOURNAMENT SATURDAY. THEY BEAT FOUR TEAMS AND THEN LOST
TO DAVENPORT ASSUMPTION.

VICKIE SANDERSON, AGE 51, OF MAQUOKETA, DIED FRIDAY.

CLIFF ULVESTAD,OF MAQUOKETA, AGE 98, DIED YESTERDAY.

MILDRED FRICK, AGE 83, FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA, DIED FRIDAY.

LARRY MANDERS, AGE 66, OF MADISON, WISCONSIN, DIED FRIDAY. HE WAS BORN IN
MAQUOKETA. SURVIVORS INCLUDE HIS WIFE, AMY....5 CHILDREN....A SISTER LOIS
FRANDSEN OF MAQUOKETA AND A BROTHER.

MAQUOKETA NATIVE, TIM RASK, WILL BE ON THE NETWORK TV GAME SHOW, "JEOPARDY"
THIS FRIDAY. ON THE WATERLOO STATION AT, I BELIEVE, 1:30 P.M. AND ON THE
DAVENPORT STATION AT 4:00 P.M. HE IS THE SON OF DR. CLIFF AND CAROL
RASK, LONGTIME MAQUOKETA RESIDENTS AND NOW LIVING IN ALBERT LEA, MINNESOTA.
HIS SISTER ALSO LIVES THERE. TIM LIVES IN IOWA CITY AND IS SINGLE.
NO WORD ON HOW WELL HE DID ON THE GAME SHOW.
