NOW SHOWING AT THE VOY THEATRE WAS THE NUMBER ONE MOVIE OF THE WEEKEND IN THE
UNITED STATES AND IN MAQUOKETA....AND IT
WILL BE HELD OVER AT THE     
VOY THEATRE
UNTIL THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18TH






THE MAQUOKETA CARDINALS LOST THEIR HOMECOMING GAME OVER THE WEEKEND TO CENTER POINT URBANA.    THE GAME HAD TO BE CALLED AFTER THE FIRIST QUARTER FRIDAY NIGHT BECAUSE OF LIGHTNING.
PLAY RESUMED AT NOON SATURDAY AND THE GAME ENDED WITH A SCORE OF 21 TO 6.

THE DANCE WAS SATURDAY NIGHT, STARRING
THE HOMECOMING KING AND QUEEN,
QUENTYN HUEBBE AND CAMDEN ROEDER.

THE MAQUOKETA CARDINAL VOLLEYBALL
TEAM WAS IN THE DURANT INVITATIONAL LAST
SATURDAY  AND WON OVER GRINNELL 2 GAMES TO 1 AND LOST TO DURANT 2 TO 0....ALSO LOST TO FORT MADISON 2 TO 1 AND DAVENPORT WEST 2 TO 1.

FOUR WOMEN FROM MAQUOKETA TOOK PART IN THE CHICAGO MARATHON YESTERDAY.
LIZ GAVIN, KATIA ATIENZA, CARLY STRATHMAN, AND COURTNEY BECKER.   ALL RAN FOR "THE KIDS AT STEAD CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL" IN IOWA CITY.
