$6,000 TO JACKSON COUNTY ECONOMIC ALLIANCE TO LAUNCH A WEB SITE
$600 TO MAQUOKETA FARMERS MARKET TO SUPPORT CHILDREN'S AREA
      TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION"
RATED PG-13, STARTS TONIGHT AT VOY
THEATRE AND 61 DRIVE-IN THEATRE.

MAQUOKETA MOTOR MADNESS IS UNDERWAY, ALL ON THE FAIRGROUNDS.    THE CARS AND MOTORCYCLES STARTED ARRIVING THIS AFTERNOON.   THE EVENT IS TONIGHT, TOMORROW AND TOMORROW NIGHT.

FORMER MAQUOKETA RESIDENT CYNTHIA ZICKEL DIED JUNE 24TH WITH LUNG CANCER.   SURVIVORS INCLUDE HER THREE DAUGHTERS,  A GRANDSON, AND A SISTER BRENDA WAGNER OF MAQUOKETA.

SPORTS:   LAST NIGHT,  MAQUOKETA BOY'S BASEBALL, CENTER POINT 7 AND MAQUOKETA 5 AND IN SECOND GAME, MAQUOKETA 11, CENTER POINT 7.
THE CARDINALS ARE 14 AND 9 AND PLAY DEWITT MONDAY, HERE.

THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION HAS DESIGNATED
THE MAQUOKETA BASEBALL DIAMOND AT THE JACK MARLOWE ATHLETIC
COMPLEX AS THE SIGHT FOR  CLASS 3-A DISTRICT AND SUBSTATE GAMES STARTING JULY 18TH.

BARB MILLER HAS RETIRED FROM THE MAQUOKETA STATE BANK AND TODAY WAS HER LAST DAY AND A RETIREMENT OPEN HOUSE WAS  HELD IN HER
HONOR IN THE MAIN BANK LOBBY.      LOTS OF FRIENDS STOPPED BY AND
WISHED HER WELL.    SHE STARTED AT THE BOTTOM AND ENDED AT THE
TOP!    THANKS FOR A JOB WELL-DONE BARB AND HAVE A HAPPY AND LONG RETIREMENT!      WHAT WILL SHE BE DOING?     FOR SURE, SPENDING MORE
TIME WITH HER DENTIST DAUGHTER AND GRANDCHILDREN BELOW.
