BEAUTIFUL DAY IN MAQUOKETA...70 FOR A HIGH. ANOTHER NICE DAY EXPECTED TOMORROW.

TWO PEOPLE HAVE BEEN APPOINTED TO MAQUOKETA CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEES. JIM SEWARD TO THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND BRENT RATHJE RE-APPOINTED TO THE CITY'S PROPERTY MAINTEANCE COMMITTEE. A BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS DINNER HONORING THE VOLUNTEERS WHO SERVE ON CITY BOARDS AND COMISSIONS IS PLANNED FOR MONDAY, APRIL25TH, AT THE EAGLES CLUB ON EAST PLATT STREET.

TWO MAQUOKETA RESIDENTS ARE TRYING TO GET ALL TERRAIN VEHICLE ROUTES IN CITIES AND IN THE COUNTY. BOB ANDERSEN AND JACK ROSENBERG TOLD JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVISORS THIS WEEK THAT THEY HAVE BEEN TO SEVERAL CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS ASKING FOR ATV ROUTES. THEY ARE LOOKING AT ROUTES TO SERVICE STATIONS AND RESTAURANTS.

THE BIG DAIRY BANQUET IS IN MAQUOKETA AT THE FAIRGROUNDS TOMORROW NIGHT.

TNT CONESHOP ON EAST PLATT HAS OPENED FOR THE SEASON.
