MONDAY DAILY REPORT

A GREAT FORECAST FOR TODAY AND THE REST OF THE WEEK!
NO RAIN AND IN THE LOW 80S ALL WEEK LONG.

THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIR COME TO A CLOSE LAST NIGHT WITH A HUGE TURNOUT FOR THE "NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION" AND A TOTAL ATTENDANCE
FOR THE DAY OF 8,408.    THOUGH THAT FIGURE WAS BELOW A YEAR AGO, 
THE OVERALL 5-DAY ATTENDANCE SET A RECORD AND FOR THE FIRST
TIME IN IT'S HISTORY, EXCEEDED 30,000.
SATURDAY NIGHT, A FULL HOUSE FOR  THE COUNTRY MUSIC SHOW,
AND THE SATURDAY TOTAL, 7,480, UP FROM SATURDAY OF 2014 WHICH
HAD 4,081.     YESTERDAY'S (SUNDAY) 8,468 WAS DOWN FROM A YEAR AGO'S FIGURE OF 9,603......AND FOR THE FIVE FULL DAYS OF THE FAIR,
WITH EXCELLENT FAIR WEATHER, THE ATTENDANCE WAS 30,355.    THE
OLD RECORD WAS SET TWO YEARS AGO AT 26,559.    THE OLD RECORD
BROKEN THIS YEAR BY ALMOST 5,000.

THE FINAL CASH DRAWING AT THE FAIR LAST NIGHT WAS HELD FOLLOWING
THE GRAND STAND SHOW AND THE $500 WAS WON BY RACHEL OWENS OF
MAQUOKETA.

THE JACKSON COUNTY MASTER GARDNERS AT THEIR BOOTH HELD A
DRAWING EACH DAY FOR A BASKET OF YARD UTENSILS AND A $25 
GIFT CERTIFICATE.     WINNERS DURING THE WEEK WERE:
JACK ROSENBERG OF BETTENDORF, FORMER MAQUOKETA MAYOR.
LOIS FRANZEN OF MAQUOKETA.
MARIAN SCHMIDT OF MAQUOKETA.
CINDY NIENKIRK OF MAQUOKETA.

PASTOR ERIC AND KRISTY SWANSON OF MAQUOKETA  (FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH) ARE CELEBRATING THEIR 30TH ANNIVERSARY TODAY.
