CLOUDY DAY TODAY AND HIGH OF 34.    TOMORROW WILL BE
ABOUT THE SAME.    SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, MOSTLY SUNNY
BOTH DAYS AND HIGH AROUND 30 BOTH DAYS.

THE HOSPITAL BOARD THIS WEEK APPROVED A TAX ASKING WHICH IS
THE SAME AS LAST YEAR, $950,000,  AND THAT MONEY WILL AGAIN BE
USED FOR THE AMBULANCE AND SOME EMPLOYEE FEES.

LAST NIGHT, THE MAQUOKETA PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
APPROVED CHANGING THE ZONING FOR A HOUSE OWNED BY TOM
TIMMERMAN ON WESTERN AVENUE ADJACENT TO ROTMAN MOTORS
NEW AND USED CAR LOT.....FROM RESIDENTIAL TO BUSINESS.
THE ISSUE NOW GOES TO THE CITY COUNCIL WHERE APPROVAL IS EXPECTED.     THIS IS THE FIRST STEP FOR A NEW KWIK STAR CONVENIENCE STORE ON THAT CORNER ACROSS WESTERN AVENUE FROM McDONALDS.
WORD IS...IT WILL BE A BIG STORE  AND THAT IT WOULD OF COURSE HAVE GAS PUMPS...ALSO A CAR WASH AND A BAKERY.  

AROUND 8 YESTERDAY MORNING, A MAQUOKETA WOMAN, CAROL IHRIG,
WSS DRIVING ON THE CAVES ROAD AND LOST CONTROL OF HER VEHICLE
ON THE SNOW.  IT WENT INTO THE DITCH.     THERE WAS LESS THAN
$1,500 DAMAGE TO HER VEHICLE.    SHE WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL
FOR UNKNOWN INJURIES.

NOBODY, EXCEPT LISA CLARK, GETS A SOUP SUPPER ADVERTISED  IN THIS DAILY REPORT.   HERE IT IS:
THE BELLEVUE MARQUETTE GIRLS LOST THEIR 2ND STATE TOURNAMENT GAME LAST NIGHT AND ARE OUT OF THE TOURNAMENT.   THEY HAD A GREAT YEAR!    BELLEVUE IS PROUD!
