WEDNESDAY DAILY REPORT

NOT A LOT OF SUNSHINE TODAY AND  HIGH OF 65.
RAIN IN FORECAST NEXT, AND THEN OK WEATHER ON FRIDAY AND
THE WEEKEND.

THE HOMECOMING WINDOW HERE AT KMAQ.     SOME VERY NICE WINDOWS LIKE THIS ONE UP AND DOWN MAIN STREET.    THE CARDINALS AGAINST
THE MARION INDIANS FRIDAY NIGHT.

RECOGNIZE THIS HOUSE, JUST SOUTH OF THE LIBRARY?   THE TOP
(WHATEVER IT IS CALLED?) IS BEING REBUILDT BY SCHUELLER & SONS RECONSTRUCTION.      WHAT CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT THIS LARGE HOME?
SOMEONE SAID IT WAS A HOSPITAL ONCE.

RECOGNIZE THIS BUILDING?   FOR MANY YEARS, IT WAS A PHILLIPS 66 STATION.  THEN FOR MANY YEARS IT WAS THE T 'N T ICECREAM SHOP.
THEN IT WAS ABOUT TO BE TILL'S FLOOR COVERING.   THEN A FIRE.
NOW THE WEST HALF WAS TORN DOWN AND REBUILDING BEGINS.

POST 75 OF THE AMERICAN LEGION IN MAQUOKETA HAS A NEW WEB SITE.

I AM GOING TO THE MONTHY MEETING TONIGHT AND WILL ADD SOME THINGS TO THE SITE TOMORROW(THURSDAY).

THE 61 DRIVE-IN TRAIN WILL GIVE FREE RIDES SUNDAY DURING PIONEER
DAY AT THE FAIRGROUNDS, SPONSORED BY THE JACKSON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY.    THE THEME SUNDAY....RAILROADS OF JACKSON
COUNTY.

NOTHING NEW ON A NEW ASSESSOR FOR JACKSON COUNTY.   THE CONFERENCE BOARD MET LAST NIGHT AND DISCUSSED THE MATTER
BUT TOOK NO ACTION AND WILL BE LOOKING FOR MORE INFORMATION
AS TO HOW MUCH MONEY IS OWED DEB LANE IN COMP TIME, VACATION TIME, AND SICK LEAVE DAYS NOT USED.      IT IS A PRETTY HIGH NUMBER OF HOURS.    SUPERVISOR JACK WILL IS BOARD CONFERENCE BOARD
CHAIRMAN AND IT WILL MEET AGAIN OCTOBER 15TH.

BIG DAY IN MAQUOKETA SATURDAY.
